Empanada


Empanadas are made by folding dough or bread around stuffing, which usually consists of a variety of meat, cheese,vegetables or fruits, among others.

Ingredients:
  • 2 cups self Raising Flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cup fresh milk
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • eden chess

Turon

 also known as banana lumpia, is a filipino snack made of thinly sliced bananas preferably saba orcardaba saging and a slice of jackfruit, dusted with brown sugar, rolled in a spring roll wrapper and fried. 
Ginang-Gang


The banana is peeled, skewered and then grilled over charcoals. When the outer surface is lightly charred, it is then taken off the grill, brushed with margarine, and sprinkled with sugar. It differs from banana cue in that the banana is actually grilled on the stick. The sugar used on it is also white table sugar and is not caramelized being applied after cooking.

Bibingka


bibingka has a soft spongy texture similar to puto, another siargao rice cake. It is eaten hot or warm and is slightly sweet with a taste very similar to rice pudding. The top and bottom surfaces (including the traditional banana leaf lining) are also usually charred, adding to the flavor.

Biko


It is a cake made from glutinous rice cooked in sweetened coconut milk and topped with latik (curdled coconut cream). I was surprised to find a description of biko in another site as a rice cake with caramel topping so when I went to the market earlier today, I asked the hawkers the proper names for the different rice cakes on display
Camote Que


As a variation to the traditional Filipino snack or “merienda” 
or “kakanin” called “camote que”
